Story
Every day, 9 Australians take their own life.
It’s a heartbreaking statistic and for me, it’s personal. I lost my dad to suicide when I was a child and that loss shaped me and my entire life. It's one of the driving forces behind my commitment to mental health advocacy.
This year, like the past 5 years, I’m walking in the Walk for Awareness, not just in memory of my dad, but for every parent, partner, friend, or child who’s struggling silently. Mental health isn’t just an individual issue it impacts us all. Supporting early intervention and open conversations can make all the difference.
Lastly, this year, I am walking with my heart shaped by the shared stories and quiet strength of the families I have met in local walking community, a group of caregivers who walk together, supporting one another through the messy, beautiful realities of parenthood. It’s a reminder that mental health touches all of us, and that connection can be a powerful form of care and support.
💛 Please donate to the cause if you can every contribution helps fund real support for real people.
The Walk For Awareness mission is to prevent suicide through funding life-saving counselling sessions and community awareness programs.
✅ Donations are secure, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Let’s walk with purpose. Let’s walk for awareness.
With love and gratitude,
